KEETCH LAUNCHES PAINTING COMPETITION FOR SCHOOLS7.27.00pm UTC (GMT +0000) Mon 18th Aug 2008
Paul Keetch MP has today asked his local primary schools to take part in a painting competition as part of the EU Year of the Intercultural Dialogue. Each local primary school will be asked to send their nominations to him by Friday 26 September 2008. These entries will then be judged by a local panel of judges where one entry will be chosen to go through to the national competition. The next level of the competition will be judged by a celebrity panel including Dame Kelly Holmes. The winners of the competition will be invited to a presentation ceremony in London and their painting will be re-printed in an international booklet. Paul Keetch MP has said, "This is our chance to see how special our cities and towns are and show how important Intercultural Dialogue is". ENDS
